It’s been cold here in the Yampa Valley but the fishing has been fantastic! Last week we kicked off our guided ice fishing tours and had an awesome time out there on the ice. There’s been a couple of trips out to Stagecoach Reservoir so far and we caught some sizable trout and pike. We had a lot of success at 20 to 25 feet depth. Out at Steamboat Lake we measured 13 to 18 inches of ice. We had more bites around 13 to 20 feet depth and we recommend sticking to the edges of the lake because that’s...
