These warmer weeks can yield open stretches and eager fish! With most trout holding in the deepest slowest water, they are not hard to find. It’s been cold here in the Yampa Valley but the fishing has been fantastic! Last week we kicked off our guided ice fishing tours and had an awesome time out there on the ice. There’s been a couple of trips out to Stagecoach Reservoir so far and we caught some sizable trout and pike. We had a lot of success at 20 to 25 feet depth.
