Winter Fishing Report: February 6th

Steamboat lake and Stagecoach reservoir are now completely iced over and are all fishable. Ice is good and is 12-16 inches in the coves and approximately 12 inches over the deeper areas. Steamboat Lake has been great lately, especially for rainbow trout and Snake River cutthroat in around 3-12 feet of water. Fishing has been good in the bays and along the point bars. Mill Creek Bay, Meadow Point and the marina cove have been producing well, as well as Willow creek bay and the hump/ point bar to the north of the Large Island. An assortment of terminal tackle has been producing, such as jugs tipped with PowerBait, wax worms, meal worms, night crawlers, etc., tube jogs, castmasters, and jigging rapalas as well as an assortment of flies.
