We are experiencing what many Colorado natives call “Fool’s Spring” right now which means temperatures have been rising, the sun has been shining and the snow is turning to mashed potatoes every afternoon. These are great days to put on some sunscreen and get on the slopes to enjoy the sunshine. However, it is called “Fool’s Spring” for a reason! Snow has continued to accumulate with a somewhat surprising powder day on Thursday and plenty of left-over stashes on Friday. We saw a break from the snow today, however clouds are rolling in and we are predicted to get another 20-30” on Sunday and Monday.  For those stormy or windy days there are plenty of great runs to be had on lower mountain. We had a short spell of warmer weather earlier this week, but temps have dropped again bringing some chilly nights and mornings in Steamboat.   There are still some stashes left over from this most recent storm- head up South Peak lift or hike up to Wake Up Call (accessible from Morningside Lift) for some possible freshies a day or two after a big storm. This weekend looks like it will be...
