Snow Report 12.30.20

This is the last snow report of 2020. Let’s hope 2021 is a better year for all of us and with that, graces us with more snow!

As December 2020 comes to a close, records show snowfall for Steamboat is below average. Three days ago it was hard to avoid patches of rocks and grass on the groomers. But things are looking up! Our most recent storm total was 11.5 inches with three inches in the last 24 hours. Yesterday was such an epic powder day!

Today is a beautiful bluebird day and the mountain has a temperature inversion. The base is -2ºF degrees with the mid-mountain and summit at 14ºF. 16 of 18 lifts are open and operating. Pony Express and Priest Creek lifts remain closed for now.

There is no snow in the forecast for the next few days and temperatures are expected to rise above 25ºF. It looks like the next chance for a storm is Sunday and then Tuesday.

Be safe and have fun out there!
