Snow Report for 2.17.21

It is absolutely dumping right now here in Ski Town USA! The resort is reporting 7 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and the forecast says we can expect up to 9 inches today. If you’re lucky enough to be skiing, you’re in for a really great powder day.

Pony Express Lift finally started operating for the season and the conditions are fairly decent. There’s still a good amount of bushwhack and rocks sticking out, but it’s definitely worth checking out.

The current estimations show that Steamboat Resort is at 85 percent of the 30-year average  snowpack. That statistic is up from last week, which is good news all around.

After recent complaints of overcrowding and COVID-19 safety concerns, Steamboat Resort limited the number of day tickets sold for this upcoming weekend. It should be interesting to see if that has any impact on the crowds and lift lines.

Runs we’re loving right now:
The Chutes
Christmas Tree Bowl
Nelson’s Run
Closets/Shadows
Land of the Little People

Stay safe, have fun, and wear a mask!
